To be Continued;
Here are the rest of my beauty favorites from 2014.
8. Nume Hair Wands. I love a good wavy hair. I purchased a hair wand set maybe two years ago. It came with a small, medium and large size wand applicator where you detach and attach each wand to one handle. It worked really well for about a year and half then all of a sudden it started to glitch and malfunction. When I am working on clients it would shut off and not turn back on again. So I looked into purchasing a new set. I really like the versatility and compact nature of wands "sets." I heard good things about NUME Lustrum so I purchased it and I love it! I can tell the quality of this wand set is much nicer than the previous set I had so I feel this will not die out on me like my last set did.

9. Living Proof. For girls like me who have flat hair and need a little help in the volume department you will love this product. I am always on the hunt for a good styling product since I know first hand how difficult it is to manage thin flat hair. Also working at a Blowdry Bar showed me how valuable a good styling product can transform boring hair to fun voluminous hair. I apply this to damp wet hair and then use a blow dryer to style or completely dry the product into the hair, I like to blowdry my hair with my head upside down so my hair dries standing up and gives my hair volume. This products allows my hair to keep the volume and style throughout the day.
10. WET brush. I heard many great things about this brush but I never bought it cause I didnt see the need for a brush that can detangle since my hair does not tangle easily and most of my clients have manageable hair. However when I started working at a blowdry bar there were women who would come in that had severe knots and dreads in their hair from not brushing it. I went out and bought the brush the next day and may I just say this is a miracle brush. It glides through hair like butter and really does de-tangle like magic. Even though it is called the "wet" brush it can be used on wet or dry hair and it works well on either. Since then I have several in my kit and is the only brush I use on my own hair. I feel this brush really does maintain the integrity of hair and does not damage or create more split ends like other brushes can. Since I have been bleaching my hair to its limits my hair needs all the help it can get.
11. Wispy Flare Lash. These style lash have been a huge favorite of mine as of late. Although these specific styles are from China a great alternative are Ardell Wispy. I love the way this "wispy" style looks on asian eyes. I use this style the most on myself because it allows my eyes to pop without looking too dramatic. Going from short to long the lashes provide a doe like appearance and since the lash length are not all uniform it gives a realistic appearance.
12. Voluspa. I discovered this beautiful candle from Anthropology. When I was roaming around I came across the beautiful glass and the smell was even more beautiful. Since then I have been hooked on these candles. They smell great and in my opinion are a reasonable price for the quality of the vase and scent. When I am through using the candle I cant wait to use the jar for storage or brush holders. These are also great for Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers, since they come in all sizes.

Welcome to my Vanity!
I displayed all my latest favorites and some new pieces on my vanity and I would love to share them with you!
1. NARS Narsissist Palette 15 Nars eye shadows all in one palette. I have been coveting this palette for some time since I am a huge fan of Nars and I thought this would be the perfect palette to invest in if you wanted to try some of the Nars eyeshadows. Its a limited edition palette so I am hoping this will be a great palette that I can utilize for many different looks.
Colors from left to right.
(, Madrague II (matte caramel), Fez (velvety cocoa), Bali (neutral), Coconut Grove (deep brown infused with reflections), Madrague I (matte cream), Nepal (soft sheer rose), Ashes to Ashes (shimmery violet based brown), Brousse II (black violet), Mekong (espresso infused with gold), Bellissima I (shimmering beige with subtle glitter), Lhasa (lavender grey), Bad Behavior (deep pewter), Dogon II (charcoal black), Pandora II (matte black)
As you can see there is a pretty good array of colors from light vanilla hues to dark brown and black. I have swatches to show you how the colors are from light to dark with a different arrays of undertones like warm copper, purples, and browns.
2. BECCA Ombre Nudes Eye Palette. This was another palette that caught my eye. I was intrigued by the 5 different matte brown shadows starting from a light nectarine shade to a dark coco shade. I am always intrigued by matte eye shadow palettes. I already own the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and loved it so much I wanted to try this one from Becca to see if it would compare in quality.
As you can see there are 5 different types of shadows included in this palette. I believe its on Becca's permanent line so it is not a limited edition. I like to use matte shadows to create depth in eye looks. Or I can use these to create a whole look. Its not easy to come upon good quality matte eye shadows so I am hoping this will become a staple in my kit.
3. Urban Decay Naked Skin Finishing Powder in Medium Light. I have been on a hunt to find a great finishing powder and research had led me to this and a few other powders. Out of the few I have chosen to try this one first since it gets such great reviews I am excited to use this and see how it lasts and sets.
4.Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, herbs and rose water. I bought this spray in hopes it can replace my setting spray I normally use. What I found was that it was more moisturizing than I expected and was a terrible setting spray but a wonderful moisturizing spray. So instead of using this spray after I was done with my face makeup I would add it after my moisturizer and before my foundation. I can also use this throughout the day when my face is feeling dry and needs a little more moisture. When I go to the gym and remove my makeup instead of applying moisturizer I will spray a little of this on my face and it gives my face enough moisture to last me the workout. So if you have dry skin and feel that your face/body feel tight and dry throughout the day this is the perfect spray to give your skin a little pick me up.
5. Expert sensitive gentle refreshing toner. I have always been a fan of toner. When I wash my face I like to dab toner on a cotton pad and wipe my face to clean any unwanted dirt that the cleanser could not wash off and to prepare my pores for moisturizer which is the job of a good toner. I would invest in all types of toners like Lancome, Givenchy, and Clinique I was spending up to $30 for these toners, until I ran across this $4 toner from Target. I started using this toner and it worked great. The expensive toners smelled great and did a good job, but the Expert toner did the same job however unscented.
6. Eyelash Fixer E.X Black Type. I wear fake lashes every time I wear makeup. I need a lash glue that can last 24hours and stay on my little beady eyes all day. I used Ardell and DUO but they could not last all day on my beady eyes. So my friend introduced me to this Japanese lash glue. It cost double and triple what my other glues cost however, this would last me months and stay on my eyes all day long. I use the black type since I wear eyeliner on all my looks and I want my lashes to blend in. If you have the same issues with your lash glue try this out!
7. Eye Makeup Remover Liquid. Just like my earlier reviews I always invested in high end makeup removers. My favorite was Lancome. I would spend $30 on one bottle and use it very sparingly until I came across Targets makeup remover. It works very similarly to Lancome's at a fraction of the cost. I used Lancome's because it did not irritate my eyes which a lot of removers do and smelled wonderful. But the Target brand is also for sensitive eyes and does a great job at removing makeup. I recommend it for anyone who has the same issue as I do.
This is only Part One of my Favorites stay tuned for more!

Who is ready for summer?
I gathered a bunch of my most used products for this month. Some of these products are used on most of my clients and some are products I use on a daily basis. I tried to choose some that will also help with the approaching summer weather.
YSL ROUGE PUR COUTURE #10
I love to use this lipstick on my brides. Its the perfect pink nude that most brides request. I know that the YSl Rouge Velupte are very popular, but I found that those colors tend to look to "bright pink" on my asian brides. So I opted for YSL's Pur Couture line which give a more pink nude on Asian skin tone. So far I am loving the #10. You can find these at Barneys retail for $35.
Bead Head Oh Bee Hive!
This wonderful product is a great mix between hair spray and dry shampoo. I dont recommend wearing this for everyday use, however you can use this to give volume when making any poof's or to soak up any scalp oil. When creating any hairstyle on my clients I start by spraying this in the scalp. Not only does it get rid of oil residue but it give volume and texture to the root of the hair. Also it smells like honey! I noticed that it makes my normal textured hair feel more coarse at the root giving it more volume. You can purchase this from Ulta for $19.99.
Tresemme Flawless Curls Extra Hold Mousse.
I use this on my own hair. After taking a shower when my hair is still damp I pour a hand full of the product and massage it into my hair especially in the root area. I only use this if I'm going to blow dry my hair since it needs heat to create the volume its made to do. I use it in damp hair since when its blown dry it gives movable volume and texture without making the hair feel sticky or hard. Not only is this an affordable product it smells so good! Purchase at Target for $3.99.
KIRKLAND Baby Wipes - Ultra Soft
If there was one item in my kit I could not live without these would be it.These wipes are always on me when I'm on the job. They are ultra soft and they are great for sensitive skin. I have tried so many wipes for sensitive skin and for some reason they don't really help with my skin issues except for these. They are from Costco so you get them in bulk which is very convenient for my business. I use these to; wipe my hands, clean product packaging, remove makeup, and cleanse face. Purchase from Costco $19.79 for 9 packages of 100 count.
Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow duo Diamond life
I only use the grey-ish shadow on the left, and I do not use it for the eyes I use it for eyebrows. I was getting comments from my brides that their brows look too "brown" so I went on a hunt for a taupe colored eyebrow color to add to my arsenal. When I saw this duo I immediately tried it on a bride of mine and she loved her brows! I would apply my usual eyebrow products and apply a little of this powder on top on the brow and it neutralized a lot of the warm tones while making the brows look natural. I like how the shadow is not very pigmented so that it just adds a subtle tone of taupe to nay brow. Purchase form TARGET for $8.99
Burts Bees Fall Foliage
I found this at a Target in the clearance bin, I was looking for a new summer lip. I saw that the gloss was a bronze gold and wanted to try it out. I use this over any nude lipstick and it immediately transforms my lips from flat to shimmery summery goddess realness. Purchase at CVS for $8.99.
Hourglass Ambient Powder in Luminous Light
The start of wedding season back in April I have been noticing a lot of my clients have dry skin. I don't like to over powder dry skin since it can easily clump and cake, so I have been using this powder a lot lately. I may not even apply powder on dry skin sometimes, however this powder can set the foundation and create a luminous finish to the face. I love how this powder has a shimmer finish but it does not make the face look shiny or greasy. I can even use this oily skin at time only in the highlight areas and it creates such a beautiful natural glow. Purchase at SEPHORA FOR $45.
NEUTROGENA shine control powder
I have oily skin. And I also do not like to apply powder all over my face throughout the day since it tends to cake and clump. So I searched for a light weight setting powder to hide my oily skin. This powder was a miracle. It works really well to cover my shiny face throughout the day and no matter how much I apply it does not cake or clump. Its goes on clear and does not have a color making it ideal for all skin tones. Purchase at TARGET for $10.99.
Flutter MINK lashes- Lindsay
I was always on the fence for Mink lashes. I never saw the hype in spending lots of money to buy false lashes that I can purchase for $1. But after hearing so much hype on mink lashes going around I had to try them out. After my first pair I was immediately hooked. I would get so many questions and compliments about what lashes I was wearing. Mink vs. human hair lashes; Mink lashes give a more natural yet full appearance to the eyes, and human hair lashes can look fake and disconnected from the lashes. I am now a huge fan of mink lashes and I really love Flutter lahses since they don't have such a high price tag as some of the other brands I have tried. Flutter Lashes for $29.95.
Makeup Forever Mat Velvet +
I have been gravitating to this foundation formula more and more as the weather is getting hotter and hotter. I love my MUFE HD foundation however that liquid foundation does not help a lot with oil control, but the mat velvet+ is more mattifying and the color range is a little warmer than the HD and I love using it on my Asian brides with oily skin. Purchase at Makeup Forever for $36.
Hope you can check out some of these products and enjoy them as much as I do!
Have a great memorial day weekend!!

YSL Creme De Blush #1
I am amazed at how blend-able this creme blush from YSL performs. Its a beautiful coral nude. I bought the pink one as well, but I tend to gravitate toward this color more than the pink one. I love how it give such subtle color to the cheeks. I use this for the brides who don't want to look like they have blush on but want it to look more like a natural flush. I can apply this either on dewy or powdered skin. It simply blows me away. I also use this on brides who want coral lips, I mix it in with some lipstick or gloss so that the lips have a slight hue of their blush color too. You can purchase this at Sephora for $38
